After growing up in the South West eager to tell regional stories, Amber studied to become a journalist-photographer and lived out that dream in the Goldfields for four years. She fully embraced life in the desert – even buying a house and adopting a true blue country border collie - but the beach called her home and she returned to the Bunbury area as the editor for six regional newspapers in the South West in early 2024.
Growing up, her family owned and operated the beloved business Bunbury Army Surplus for a little more than two decades instilling in her a passion for regional business and community. When she isn’t bringing you the latest news, she is likely on the soccer pitch, enjoying a pub lunch, setting up camp amongst some trees or arguing about how women in sport deserve a brighter spotlight.
